Hogwash!

Astrology, which is the study of stars, is not particularly my cup of tea. I have always considered horoscopes, fortune-telling and tarot card reading a big load of crock. Perhaps I am a sceptic or secretly afraid of what could be the truth. However, after many conversations with The P, I have concluded that I am very much a Libran.

The Daily Toe (whines): Why can’t I find equilibrium in my life?
The P (with an irritatingly smug look): Because people around you are upsetting your scales… You Libran what.
The Daily Toe gives a derisive snort.

In the zodiac, Libra is the only star sign which is not symbolised neither by an animal nor a human. Does this mean I am not animal, vegetable or mineral? *Gasp* However, the alibaba horoscope website gently appeases this Libran by saying that the Libran is one of the most sociable of the signs. Just call me the hostess with the mostest.

According to the horoscope websites, ‘the greatest balancing act is between self and others and it is here that many Librans focus their energy’. This is exactly what The P and I expound on all the time when we are not slumped on the sofa in front of the TV. The P is also an Libran and we both wonder why we spend so much time trying to find or maintain equilibrium and someone would merrily come along and tip the damn scales…with just an ickle poke. Oh well.

The traits of a Libran:
Easy-going, sociable, diplomatic (could be manipulative), gentle, fair, balanced, impartial, charming, gullible, peace-loving, idealistic, pleasure oriented, flirty and frivolous.
